A8-18015-DA1 – Fields Booster Station Improvements
R P Construction completed improvements to the Fields Booster Station for Waterworks District No. 2 in Beauregard Parish, Louisiana. The project focused on upgrading critical water system infrastructure to improve system pressure, reliability, and operational performance within the district’s potable water distribution network. Work included modifications to the existing well discharge piping, installation of new piping connections, system valves, pressure control components, and improvements to supporting site infrastructure around the booster station facility.
Project Overview
The Fields Booster Station Improvements Project (MA Project No. A8-18015-DA1) involved upgrades to an existing water supply facility serving Waterworks District No. 2 in Beauregard Parish. The project required furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and specialized construction services necessary to improve the performance and reliability of the booster station and associated piping systems. Construction activities included modifications to the existing well discharge piping system, removal and replacement of sections of ductile iron piping, and installation of new fittings, valves, and pressure control components required to improve system functionality. The work also included integration of new piping connections between the well infrastructure and the booster station equipment. Additional improvements included installation of piping for chlorine solution delivery, pre-lube lines, service piping, and related appurtenances necessary for proper operation of the booster station equipment. The project also required coordination with the well contractor responsible for the well installation to ensure proper integration of mechanical and electrical components. Site work included improvements to access drives, piping supports, drainage features, and surrounding facility infrastructure. Work was performed within an active water system facility, requiring careful coordination and sequencing to maintain system reliability during construction. Upon completion, the improvements enhanced the operational efficiency of the booster station while improving water pressure and distribution reliability for customers served by Waterworks District No. 2.
